A forty-room hotel on the Adriatic pays its booking portal more in commission each summer than it pays its head receptionist. The owner knows this. She also knows that the last agency she hired for a direct-booking site delivered a brochure with a contact form, and that the chatbot the year before answered every question with a link to the FAQ. So the portal keeps its cut.
This list of the best AI and booking agencies for hotels in Europe is written for her and for operators like her. We put it together and we put our own studio first; the case is below, and so are the agencies we would look at if we were not an option. One thing to be clear about at the start: UnyoCorp has not built for a hotel. What we have built is a booking platform whose numbers we can prove, and the equation is the same.
Why most hotel AI projects fail
They start with the wrong question. The question is not what AI can do for a hotel; it is where the money leaks. For most independent hotels it leaks at the portal, which owns the guest relationship and charges for it. A direct-booking flow that a guest can complete on a phone in under a minute recovers some of that margin. A chatbot on the homepage does not.
The second failure is the tab. An AI assistant that lives on its own page, answering questions nobody asked, is a demo with a URL. A tab is a tomb. The version that works sits inside the channels guests already use, drafts replies for the front desk to approve, and hands anything unusual to a person within seconds. That takes integration with the property system and the messaging channels, which is engineering, not prompting.
The agencies
1. UnyoCorp (Tirana)
UnyoCorp is an AI-native product engineering studio in Tirana: eight engineers in one room, 130+ projects shipped, work in production in 10+ countries. It sells a fixed scope, a demo every fortnight and a price tied to outcomes rather than hours.
The relevant case is Enjoy Clean Berlin, a direct-booking platform for a German cleaning-services company. Pick a service, see the price, choose a slot, pay: four steps, in German, mobile-first. In the first two months online bookings rose 60% and bounce rate fell 35%, as the client recorded in a Clutch-verified review. A cleaning company is not a hotel, but a booking is a booking. Any business that takes appointments, for a room, a table, a treatment or a two-hour clean, wins or loses on the same equation: price visible, slot visible, payment in the same flow, on a phone.
For guest messaging, the approach would be the one the studio uses for every AI system. An AI Sprint, two weeks at €3K to €6K fixed, audits the channels, the property data and the question log in week one and demos a prototype drafting replies on sample conversations in week two. If the sprint shows the volume does not justify a build, the roadmap says so and you keep it. The Product Build that follows is 4 to 10 weeks at €15K to €45K fixed, with evals in place before the front desk is asked to trust a single reply, and AI Ops afterwards, because a model that was accurate in June is not necessarily accurate in December.
Best for: independent hotels and small groups that want a direct-booking flow, and later a guest-messaging assistant, built at a fixed price with a named owner after launch.
2. Turbine Kreuzberg (Berlin)
A software development company focused on platforms and e-commerce, which is the discipline a booking engine belongs to.
Best for: hotel groups treating the booking platform as a serious e-commerce product.
3. Infinum (Zagreb)
A design and development agency with a strong mobile practice and offices in several countries.
Best for: hotel brands that want a guest app at the centre of the direct relationship.
4. Miquido (Kraków)
A mobile and web development company with an AI and machine learning practice alongside.
Best for: operators that want the app and the AI features from one team.
5. Q agency (Zagreb)
A software development and design agency.
Best for: a booking site where the design matters as much as the plumbing.
6. Reply (Turin)
A large listed consulting and systems integration group with many specialist units.
Best for: hotel chains integrating booking and AI across an existing enterprise estate.
“Overall, I was very satisfied with their work.”
Questions to ask before you sign
- Can you show me a booking flow you built, with numbers the client published rather than numbers you did?
- Will the guest see the price and the availability before being asked for anything?
- Where will the AI assistant live: inside our messaging channels, or on a page of its own?
- What happens when the assistant is unsure? Show me the handoff to a person.
- Is the price fixed before work starts, and what does month seven cost?
- Who owns the accounts, the code and the model keys? The answer should be us.
If the portal commission is the largest line in your marketing budget, a two-week sprint will tell you what a direct-booking flow and a messaging assistant would take, at a fixed price. Send the brief through unyocorp.com; you will hear back the same business day.
